Life has just been stressful around here. I have 8 weeks left to go before the due date and our house hasn’t sold yet, so I’m crabby, irritable, frustrated, tired, and I get angry easily. When I get angry Ladybug looks at me with her big brown eyes,
hugs me around my knees, and says, “Mommy, I love you.”
She’s been doing that a lot recently.
In other news, I’ve done some knitting.
This bit of garter stitch was done in one afternoon, lo these many couple or three weeks ago. It’s going to the frog pond when I find the time. Too big for what I wanted, plus I think I have a better use for the yarn (Madil Eden).
So I found something else to cast on — a stockinette sock!
Simple 56 stitch stockinette sock on US 1 (2.25mm) DPNs. Ahh, it feels good to be back on DPNs. Mountain Colors Bearfoot, colorway Pheasant.
I didn’t want to do another wedge toe, so I did a star toe. At least, I think it’s a star toe. I didn’t look up any directions.
One thing I did look up directions for was the picot hem cuff. I used Claudia’s directions here, but used 5 rows instead of 7 just to be different.
Can you tell it’s actually sunny outside? I give Spring another 2 weeks, and then it’ll feel like Summer.
